 Holy Grail
round corner

I've gone and done it!

Eh..?

I've gone and created another website. Yay! And I've done it by implementing what I call my double-decker holy grail technique.

The layout for my 'other website', or should I say for the home page - is complete, and it is that that I've added most of my err, talents (?) to as a web hobbyist.

I'd like to rave on about my new website; its got this, and its got that, but there are things I'd like to keep close to me chest. You never know it could turn out to be a treasure chest. Or something like that, maybe ;)

You can see some of these techniques on this very page, or on any other page on this website. But, most of my earlier efforts were done over at the  Killersites forums

Those ealier efforts that I've just mentioned can be found somewhere deep in the bowels of this website, and I will place a link to those bowels at the bottom end of this 'holy grail' message.

Look Ma, no hacks!
So, what's a holy grail website when it's at home? Well, basically, it's a layout that doesn't use any hacks or conditional comments. These are things you would implement in your code inorder to hide Internet Explorer defects. Plus, a holy grail should also work in all browsers known to man, except of course Hot Java, which is from the planet Zog in the bollix quadrant.

Err, my holy grail is a bit on the different side, but not that different from this very website that you see before you. This website also has a holy grail flavour. Hmmm, barbecue flavour methinks.

Ok, I know it's not brilliant. I mean - this website. But, at least I know for a fact that it's never going to work in something like NN4x or an Opera 5 type of browser - those browsers really are sh*t, but it does seem to work very nicely in some of the other more standards compliant browsers that I've so far tested it in. And it does all of this without the use of conditional comments, or hacks!

Yeah, well... You may well be thinking that it, or my holy grail - hasn't quite made 'The Holy Grail' of holiest statuses. But anyway, who gives a monkey's if it don't work in NN4x. Come to think about it, none of my websites has ever worked properly in NN4x. So, there's nothing really to worry about. Err, or is there?
